The short version
- The app has no account, no sign-in and no developer server. Your progress, stars, XP, streak, statistics and settings stay on your device.
- We (the developer) do not collect your personal data and cannot see how you play.
- The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google’s advertising SDK collects the data described below to serve and measure ads.
- You choose whether to share data for personalised ads, and can change that any time in Settings → Privacy → Privacy choices (ads) (shown where required by law).
Data stored on your device
Your level progress, stars, XP, Daily Challenge streak and streak freezes, statistics, which questions you have already seen, reminder time and app settings. All questions are bundled with the app. This data never leaves your phone. It is removed when you use Settings → Reset progress, uninstall the app, or clear its storage.
Sharing your result
When you share a Daily Challenge result, the app makes a picture of your score on your phone and hands it to the share sheet you choose. Where it goes is your choice and is governed by that app or service. We do not receive it.
Notifications
The optional daily reminder is scheduled locally on your device by Android. It is not sent from a server, and no notification token is created. The app asks permission before turning it on; you can turn it off in Settings or in Android system settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Depending on your region and choices, Google may collect and use:
- Device or other identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID, and approximate location derived from your IP address
- App interactions, such as ad impressions and clicks
- Diagnostics, such as crash logs and performance data
for advertising, fraud prevention, security, and analytics/measurement. The data is encrypted in transit. See Google’s policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses data from apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
In the European Economic Area, the UK and some other regions, the app shows Google’s consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before requesting ads. You can reopen it from Settings → Privacy → Privacy choices (ads). You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
There are no ads while you answer a question. You can watch an optional short video for an extra lifeline, a continue, double XP or a restored streak. Watching is always your choice, and we only learn that the video finished.
Google AdMob is the only ad network in the app today. If other ad partners are added later, they will be listed here before the update that adds them.
The app asks for ads suitable for ages 13 and over.
Feedback and question reports
Settings → Send feedback and Report this question open your own email app with a message addressed to us. A report includes the question’s number so we can find it; feedback includes the app version and Android version. We receive only what you choose to send, including your email address, and use it only to reply and to fix questions.
Crash reports
The app has no crash-reporting service of its own. If one is ever added, this page and the Play Store data safety section will be updated first.
Permissions
Notifications (the optional daily reminder), vibration (haptic feedback), boot completed (to restore the reminder after a restart), internet and network state (to load ads), and the advertising ID permission (used by the ads SDK). The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, photos or files, and does not use exact alarms.
Your choices and rights
- Use the app without any account.
- Delete all app data with Settings → Reset progress, by uninstalling, or by clearing storage.
- Change ad personalisation in Privacy choices or Android settings.
- Because the developer does not hold your data, there is nothing for us to export or delete on a server. For data held by Google, use https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.
Children
The app is meant for ages 13 and up. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will update this page and its effective date when the app’s data practices change.
